Terms of Service
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Welcome to LaserTools.ai. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use LaserTools.ai. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement and that all registration information you provide is truthful and accurate.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account, invite keys, or API tokens with unauthorized third parties. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use LaserTools.ai to:
- Upload, generate, store, or distribute content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or that promotes violence or hatred.
- Upload or process images depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any such content will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement.
- Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrighted works, trademarks, or trade secrets, without proper authorization.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, model weights, algorithms, or data formats of the platform or of any AI model available through it (see Section 4).
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the platform in a manner that exceeds reasonable use or degrades service for other users.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts, data, or any internal systems.
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to LaserTools.ai or its outputs without prior written consent.
- Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, credit systems, or security measures.
- Use the platform for any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.
4. Reverse Engineering & Competitive Use
Prohibited conduct. You may not, and may not permit or assist any third party to:
- reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, deobfuscate, or otherwise attempt to derive or reconstruct the source code, model weights, algorithms, data formats, or underlying structure of the platform or any component of it;
- extract, download, or retain any client-side component of the platform — including compiled kernels, WebAssembly modules, model files, or shader code — other than as automatically delivered to and executed by your browser in the ordinary course of using the platform;
- instrument, hook, patch, debug, or intercept the platform’s code or network traffic using automated tooling, or circumvent any obfuscation, minification, licensing, or access-control measure;
- access or use the platform, its outputs, or any documentation in order to build, train, improve, or assist in developing a product or service that competes with LaserTools.ai;
- copy, replicate, or imitate the features, user interface, workflows, or output formats of the platform;
- use the platform for competitive benchmarking or analysis, or publish any such benchmark, without our prior written consent; or
- access the platform on behalf of, or for the benefit of, a competitor.
Clauses (a)–(c) do not apply to the extent that such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law, including any non-waivable right to observe, study, or decompile software for the purpose of interoperability. You represent that you are not a competitor and are not accessing the platform on behalf of one.
Liquidated damages. You acknowledge that the platform embodies substantial proprietary development effort, confidential information, and trade secrets; that conduct described in clauses (a)–(c) above causes us real harm that is difficult or impossible to quantify; and that the amount set out below is a genuine and reasonable pre-estimate of that harm, agreed in advance by the parties, and is not a penalty.
Accordingly, for each documented instance of conduct described in clauses (a)–(c) above, you agree to pay us liquidated damages of US$1,000. Each separate act, and each distinct calendar day on which such conduct continues, constitutes a separate instance. An instance is “documented” where it is evidenced by our server logs, client telemetry, account records, or other reasonable evidence, and we have given you written notice describing it. Amounts are payable within thirty (30) days of that notice.
These liquidated damages are in addition to, and not in place of, our rights to suspend or terminate your account under Section 8, to seek injunctive or other equitable relief, and to pursue any claim for misappropriation of trade secrets or infringement of our intellectual property. Ordinary use of the platform through a standard web browser, including viewing pages delivered to your browser, is not conduct described in clauses (a)–(c). If a court of competent jurisdiction determines that the amount stated above is unenforceable, it shall be reduced to the greatest amount that is enforceable, and if no such amount can be given effect, we may instead recover our actual damages.
5. Derived Software, Confidentiality & Trademarks
Definition. “Derived Software” means any software, source code, model, model weights, algorithm, data format, tool, or documentation that you or any third party develops, in whole or in part, through conduct described in Section 4 — including anything derived from, based on, reconstructed from, or informed by the platform’s source code, model weights, kernels, algorithms, data formats, or internal behaviour, whether obtained through reverse engineering, extraction, instrumentation, or access on behalf of or for the benefit of a competitor. Derived Software does not include work you develop independently without reference to, and without derivation from, any of the foregoing.
Ownership. You hereby irrevocably assign to LaserTools.ai all right, title, and interest worldwide in and to all Derived Software, including every copyright, trade secret, patent, and other intellectual property right in it, together with the right to sue for and recover in respect of past infringement. At our request and our expense, you will execute any documents and take any further steps reasonably required to perfect, record, or enforce that assignment. To the extent any Derived Software cannot be assigned as a matter of law, you instead grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, exclusive, fully paid, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute it, and you irrevocably waive, in our favour and to the fullest extent permitted by law, all moral rights in it.
Confidentiality. All Derived Software, and all non-public information about the platform that you obtain through conduct described in Section 4, is our confidential information and trade secret. You will hold it in strict confidence, use it for no purpose whatsoever, disclose it to no person, and on our written request promptly destroy or return it and certify that you have done so.
No publication or open-sourcing. You may not publish, disclose, distribute, sell, license, sublicense, open-source, or otherwise make available any Derived Software or any part of it, in source or object form, under any licence whatsoever — including any free, public, copyleft, or other open-source licence — and may not contribute it to any public or private repository, package registry, dataset, training corpus, model, paper, or other publication. This obligation survives the termination of your account and of these Terms, and continues indefinitely.
Trademarks. LaserTools.ai, our logo, and our product names — including Photo Studio, Embossing Studio, Mesh Studio, Crystal Studio, and Scene Editor — are our trademarks. These Terms grant you no licence to use them. You may not use them, or any confusingly similar name or mark, in connection with any product, service, repository, or promotional material, or in any manner likely to cause confusion as to source, sponsorship, or affiliation.
Remedies. You acknowledge that any breach of this section would cause us irreparable harm for which monetary damages are an inadequate remedy, and that we are entitled to seek injunctive and other equitable relief without posting security and without proof of actual damages — in addition to the liquidated damages under Section 4 and any other remedy available at law or in equity.
6. Content Ownership & License
You retain ownership of the content you upload to LaserTools.ai. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display it solely to provide the services you request. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Outputs generated by our AI tools are provided to you for your use. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of generated outputs complies with applicable laws and the rights of third parties.
7. Credits & Billing
Certain features require credits. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change credit pricing at any time. Subscription credits that are unused at the end of a billing cycle do not roll over unless your plan explicitly provides for rollover.
8. Enforcement & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if we determine in our sole discretion that you have violated these Terms. In cases of severe or repeated abuse, including uploading illegal content, we may:
- Immediately and permanently ban your account.
- Forfeit any remaining credits or subscription time without refund.
- Report the activity to law enforcement authorities.
- Retain evidence as required by law.
9. Content Moderation & Monitoring
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor and review content uploaded to or generated through the platform. We may remove any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, at our sole discretion.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
LaserTools.ai is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
No guarantee of output quality. LaserTools.ai relies on automated and AI-driven processing (including background removal, image generation, depth estimation, and mesh, point-cloud, and crystal-engraving preparation). We make no guarantee, and expressly disclaim any representation or warranty, regarding the accuracy, quality, reliability, completeness, or suitability of any output produced by the platform, including its fitness for laser engraving, machining, printing, or any other particular purpose. Outputs are produced automatically, may contain errors, artifacts, or inaccuracies, and may vary between runs. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any output before relying on it or committing it to physical materials, equipment, or production, and for confirming that it is fit for your intended use.
Service availability. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, and we may modify, suspend, throttle, or discontinue the platform or any feature, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LaserTools.ai and its operators, owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the platform — whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Without limiting the foregoing, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any monetary or financial loss, however caused, that arises from or relates to: (a) the quality, accuracy, or suitability of any output produced by the platform, including any materials, blanks, workpieces, machine or laser time, consumables, or labor wasted, spoiled, or damaged as a result of relying on such output; (b) any service interruption, downtime, delay, maintenance, degradation, or discontinuation of the platform or any feature; (c) any loss, corruption, or unavailability of your content or data; or (d) any error, defect, inaccuracy, or failure of the platform, for any reason. You acknowledge that you use the platform, and rely on its outputs, at your own risk.
In all cases, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages, so some of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you; in that case, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LaserTools.ai, its operators, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and LaserTools.ai irrevocably submit and attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the platform, and each party waives any objection to the laying of venue in those courts. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any mandatory rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your place of residence that cannot be waived by agreement.
